Discover DFS Sensors

DFS Sensors are used to inform site owners of potential water ingress and product leaks, using various methods from single float options, discriminating between fuel and water, hydrocarbon detection and vapour detection. The sensors are suitable for all locations on the station including tank manhole chambers, dispenser sumps, ground water detection locations, bounded areas and interstitial spaces. Installing a sensor from the DFS range helps you to protect your investment and the environment.

Alieviate Worry

You don't want your business to be crippled by the presence of unwanted substances or liquids on site or within equipment. Our sensors facilitate the quick alert to any issues that may cause problems for both you and your customers, such as water ingress within the fuel tank.

Automatic Deactivation

If unwanted substances or liquids are detected, certain sensors are able to quickly disconnect or deactivate the equipment affected instantly, such as disable a fuel dispenser from being used. Audible alarms are also an integral part of a selection of the majority of our sensors, so that notifications are not missed.

IntelliSense Technology

IntelliSense technology delivers the ability to monitor all areas of the fuel site, such as tank interstice, piping sumps, STP containment sumps, dispenser sumps/pans and monitoring wells. This proprietary technology is designed so that SiteSentinel Integra 100 and Integra 500 tank gauges, regardless of the type or place of installation, will know immediately what type of sensor is connected and the model number and name.

Our Sensors

  • Pressure Line Leak Detector (PLLD) - Our pressure line leak detector (PLLD) sensors monitor pressure decay or drop during site operation. Installed in the submersible turbine pump regardless of the manufacturer, the PLLD sensor will sound an alarm if the pressure readings differ from the norm and may indicate the presence of a leak. Our PLLD sensor performs precision line leak testing at full pump pressure for 0.1 and 0.2 gallons per hour (gph) and a pressure decay test to meet the U.S. EPA 3.0 gph test requirements.

  • Interstitial Hydrocarbon Liquid Sensor with Water Indicator (discriminating) - Used in the interstitial (annular) space of a double-walled tank.

  • Hydrocarbon Liquid Sensor (non-discriminating) or Hydrocarbon Liquid Sensor with Water Indicator (discriminating)

  • Hydrocarbon Liquid Sump Sensor - Detects the presence of hydrocarbon liquid or vapor. Used in sumps and dispenser pans.

  • Dual Level Reservoir Sensor – Monitors the level of the brine solution in the liquid-filled interstitial space of a tank.

  • Single float sensor - Can be used in any sump and detects the presence of a liquid.

  • Interstitial Optical liquid Sensor - Used primarily to monitor the interstitial area of double-walled tanks and can also be used in sumps and dispenser pans, but it must be used in areas which have no light.

  • Vapor Sensor – Detects hydrocarbon vapours in a dry tank interstitial space or a dry monitoring well.
